Dylan Lopez

Department of Computer Technology, De La Salle University

Dylan Lopez is university researcher at the Department of Computer Technologies, De La Salle University, Philippines, and a researcher and Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan. He also serves as Director for Collaboration and Partnerships at the Quantum Computing Society of the Philippines (QCSP). He initiates several national projects developing decision-support systems for urban energy planning, augmented by hybrid quantum algorithms. His work bridges energy systems, optimization, and sustainable development, with strong alignment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Superpower:

Dylan’s superpower is helping teams design and optimize energy economics-related solutions using hybrid quantum algorithms for optimization and forecasting. He can guide participants in structuring models that strike a balance between technical rigor and real-world applicability, particularly in finance and energy domains. Teams can approach him with questions on how quantum-inspired methods can give their prototypes an innovative edge.
